A solemn and snowy morning, with a couple of fresh inches of snow everywhere; had to use 4WD to get to the AO.

My intrepid partner Sludge was the only other one around….or so we thought. On our mosey we saw fresh shoe tracks in the snow, and they were not ours!  WHO could possibly be up this early, running in the snow, and WHY are they not a fellow PAX ? When springtime comes, and sunshine, this AO is gonna attract some FNGs, I just know it!

The Thang:

Only two of us, but we had coupons. So we used them. We built our GUNS up and we RAN. Thus, Gun Runner.

40 CFTG, 30 Merkins, 20 Tricep Extensions. Followed by 1/4 mile mosey loop.
Rinse and Repeat, x4

From our vantage point, we could see multiple distant small lights, way up on the west flank of Mount Olympus. We reflected on how these were no doubt the headlamps of back-country skiers or hikers/snow-shoers, way up on this mountain ridge, so early, so dark, and so snowy.

Impressive.
