EC: 2 PAX circled Lake Daybreak for 2.5 of EC mileage.
Warmup: Who needs a warmup when you carry your chosen coupon 1/2 mile before you can start the real work (?).
YHC had been tapped by the F3 Churham boys to post a workout for their COVID-inspired virtual AO called #TheMatrix.
Approx. 25 PAX completed the below circuit over the previous week, either OYO or as part of a regular AO workout.
#AMP was the perfect location to run this circuit given the need for pull-up bars, and with the site Qs enjoying their family vacay tearing up the trails and rivers in Moab, the PAX were off to hit the schoolyard for cinder block studies. Minimum Rx coupon weight = 30#.
The Matrix Circuit
5 rounds; 10 reps each (unless otherwise noted)
– 400M run
– Coupon overhead shoulder press
– Coupon front squat
– Coupon bicep curl
– Coupon bent-over row
– Coupon merkins (x20)
– Pullups (x10)
Note: On lap #3 GoldDigger found the dreaded hidden curb that jumped out and bit him. He didn’t let that slow him down, but rather shook it off, rubbed some dirt on it and moseyed back to his coupon to finish his reps.
Ideally we were planning to finish off with a final mile, but we’d already pushed past our final clock time and it was time to get back.
The PAX paired up for the return and shared the coupon-carrying load on the way back, switching back and forth as needed.
